Base Pay Range $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year Location: Chicago – Onsite What this job involves As a Financial Analyst supporting JLL's Northeast Property Management division, you'll be at the center of financial operations for our Office and Industrial business lines. This role offers the opportunity to drive financial excellence through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and process optimization across a diverse real estate portfolio. You'll partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver critical financial insights that support strategic decision‑making and contribute directly to JLL's operational success. This position provides excellent exposure to commercial real estate finance while building expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance management within one of the industry's leading firms. Day‑to‑day responsibilities Support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes by preparing accruals, reclasses, account reconciliations, and implementing financial controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and performance metrics while providing variance analysis and commentary on key business drivers. Monitor receivables and other critical financial indicators, creating reports that enable effective management decision‑making across the portfolio. Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and business units to ensure financial results align with corporate objectives and maintain accuracy standards. Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts through data validation, variance analysis, and scenario modeling activities. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation of financial reporting workflows. Support strategic initiatives and ad‑hoc projects by conducting data‑driven analysis and building financial models for management review. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with a strong academic foundation in financial principles. 1–2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or accounting, demonstrating progressive responsibility and technical competency. Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable business insights. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated success collaborating across cross‑functional teams and presenting to stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in fast‑paced environments. Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and experience with enterprise systems like PeopleSoft for financial operations. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the real estate industry, particularly commercial property management or real estate finance. Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Tableau, SmartView, and Oracle OCI platforms for enhanced reporting and analysis capabilities. Previous exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes in corporate environments. Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning initiatives. Knowledge of property management accounting practices and real estate financial metrics. Demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives. Professional development through relevant certifications or continuing education in finance or real estate.
