You will support children and families by transporting children to and from visits with their parents and by helping to schedule and coordinate these visits. Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications/experience (Minimum rate of $16.80)

JOB DUTIES:
Coordinate scheduling of supervised visits at the agency. Coordinate scheduling of the transportations and provide transportation to Children Protective Services' customers as an integral part of the case plan; transports for Enhanced Medicaid Transportation Program, Foster Care and relative placements, and completes associated documentation. Monitor and maintain appearance of waiting/visitation rooms. Provide supervision between the parents/relatives and children, ensuring that unsafe or inappropriate interactions between the parents/relatives and child are immediately addressed. Document in SACWIS computer system a summary of all visits. Testify in Court regarding the parent/child interactions during supervised visits when required. Maintains records of activities and reports on conditions to caseworkers and supervisors. Performs general clerical duties (i.e. answers incoming telephone requests and makes referral to appropriate personnel; assist caseworkers with mailing, filings, and/or general research; enter various data into SACWIS computer system; etc.) Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, in-service training and supervisor meetings to remain current and to advance expertise. Works alone or with other persons in short or long-term team projects to resolve problems or conflicts in any area of county operations or to complete assigned projects at the direction of any county supervisor or Department Head when assigned. Works aggressively to reduce or eliminate safety/risk concerns in current position or work location. Reports safety/risk management issues to immediate supervisor. New and other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Must have a high school education or equivalent. An Associate's degree in a human services related field is preferred. Ability to develop good rapport with clients and give instructions and directions to adults and children. Knowledge of safety practices and ability to recognize threatening or unusual conditions and take appropriate emergency action. Ability to prepare and maintain case notes; solve practical everyday problems; gather, collate and classify information; add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers; read and write simple sentences; and, answer routine telephone inquiries from the public.

Military education and experience may be substituted for college and vocational certificate level course work on a case-by-case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.
