What to ExpectTesla seeks to change the world by accelerating the transition to sustainable energy, and you can be a part of that mission by ensuring that the Radio Tuner experience in a Tesla vehicle is second to none.You will have the opportunity to make substantial impact on the product ensuring the Radio systems in our cars are built correctly with high audio quality, getting hands-on experience in the factory production environment, validating automotive Radio features in a fast-paced development and manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to apply a passion for Radio tuners and gain cross functional skills in software, hardware, manufacturing, and connected infrastructure to root cause manufacturing issues, and develop efficient procedures, tools and infrastructure for automated Radio system testing.What You'll DoDocument system requirements for the Radio tuner for each platform and discuss with suppliers to make sure that suppliers adhere to Tesla requirementsCollaborate with cross functional teams like SW team, Thermal Team, Factory Team at Tesla to integrate tuner in vehicleDesign comprehensive test plan for covering all Radio Standards FM, HD, DAB and region-specific things like AF Switching, TA etc.Run system level tests with each sample stage at bench level for FM/HD/DAB standardsMeasure RF performance of Radio Tuner HWs at each sample stage and document itAutomate system level tests for FM/HD/DAB with python scripting and other means to make testing more efficientExecute use case validations for every SW release cycle with multiple vehicle platformsConduct field tests in various region of the world and analyzing the data for verification of the HWsTriage and fix field related bugs using JIRA systemPrepare and collage data for senior management to review about the progress of the projectWhat You'll BringDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceSome understanding of different Radio standards like FM/HD and DABAbility to hear digital audio artifact during field testsHighly detail oriented and well organizedExcellent documentation skills to produce clear test documentation and reportsExcellent communication skills to coordinate cross functionally to drive completion of tasksWillingness to learn and use the best available software tools and infrastructureFamiliarity with Linux/UNIX command line utilities, bash scripting, and PythonExperience in working with oscilloscope, RF Generators, ETI players, and RF RecorderCompensation and BenefitsAlong with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deductionFamily-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefitsDental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contributionCompany Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSAHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefitsCompany paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramSick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid HolidaysBack-up childcare and parenting support resourcesVoluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insuranceWeight Loss and Tobacco Cessation ProgramsTesla Babies programCommuter benefitsEmployee discounts and perks programExpected Compensation$108,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
