THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY **Responsibilities** This position is responsible for the timely preparation of food items according to set recipe specifications in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This position is also responsible for one or more service areas such as, Trayline, cafeteria, cafeteria grill, deli, catering etc. This is the fully operational level for this series. Incumbents are responsible for setup and preparation of items for all Food Service, according to recipes to meet Department standards. Incumbent performs duties requiring previous training or experience in food preparation techniques. **Required Qualifications**

* Knowledge of basic sanitation and safety procedures/requirements used in hospitals and food services areas.

* Knowledge of diets, diet terminology, and dietary abbreviations or ability to learn these.

* Ability to read, understand, and accurately prepare recipes.

* Ability to correctly adjust recipes to produce required portions.

* Ability to accurately use measuring equipment and utensils.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* ServSafe Certification.

**Special Requirements**

* Must have the ability to bend, stoop, or stand for long periods of time, move heavy containers exceeding 50 lbs.
