Director of Sales, Group – Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort Join for the Director of Sales, Group role at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club. A Director of Sales, Group is responsible for leading a dynamic team of sellers and maximizing group revenues. Key Responsibilities Lead the group sales team and deploy business strategies to achieve the hotel’s annual group rooms and banquet budgets. Oversee commercial strategies for the group sales team, improving performance by aligning strategy and business processes. Set deployment, team composition, and cadence of activities for a predictive and prescriptive performance approach. Facilitate delivery of the Americas Commercial Operating Model for group rooms and banquet sales. Strategy: Contribute to the hotel’s Annual Multi‑Year Strategic Intentions and Commercial Strategy, set strategy and delivery of sales targets, align pricing & rate quotation strategies, maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets, operate within departmental budget, develop competitor and market knowledge. Leadership: Lead business review and sales strategy meetings, manage performance processes, contribute to commercial strategy plan, oversee sales site visit strategies, recruit and retain group sales roles, develop team, conduct performance reviews for direct and dotted line reports, facilitate culture aligned with DEI and ESG goals. Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations: Contribute to performance and commercial activity reporting, liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales, build relationships with CVB and third‑party partners, engage with customers, support site visits and sales travel. Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum Experience: ≥3 years in hospitality sales & marketing leadership and cross‑functional hotel management experience. Desired capabilities: advanced degree coursework in business administration, marketing, or communications; adaptable experience with business strategy and planning; multilingual ability; multi‑brand experience; proficiency in Delphi FDC.
