Job Summary:

The Westin Palo Alto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and common areas are clean, comfortable, and presentable at all times. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Palo Alto, California. This is an individual contributor role and the compensation for this position is $22 per hour, paid biweekly.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Westin Palo Alto offers competitive pay at $22 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and growth within the company. As a full-time employee, you will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and employee discounts at our hotel and other Marriott properties.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
- Stock and maintain housekeeping cart and inspection sheet
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager
- Clean and restock common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and public restrooms
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service to all guests
- Support other departments, such as laundry, as needed
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
