We are seeking an ambitious and driven Permanent Senior Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your innovative ideas to life, working on a diverse range of projects. You will play a crucial role in designing, integrating machinery, and developing manufacturing processes to enhance our product range. This role is a perfect fit for someone who is passionate about mechanical engineering and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop mechanical systems and solutions by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
2. Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
3. Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
4. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
5. Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
6. Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
7. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
8. Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes.
9. Create and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for new and existing products.
10. Work collaboratively with other members of the design team, including engineers and production staff, to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical design role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in design software and technologies (such as CAD, SolidWorks).
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes.
5. Demonstrated ability to create drawings and detailed design documents.
6. Ability to integrate machinery and equipment into a functional, reliable system.
7. Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Proven experience in creating and managing the Bill of Materials (BOM).
11. Experience in working to and understanding the importance of design and manufacturing standards.
12. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
