HVAC Truck Based Technical Team Lead Chiller (Union) Apply for the HVAC Truck Based Technical Team Lead Chiller (Union) role at Johnson Controls. Base Pay Range $46.00/hr - $46.00/hr What You Will Do Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and replacement of HVAC mechanical equipment and Building Control Systems. Assist branch leadership with coaching and mentoring branch technicians to deliver customer satisfaction and follow operational processes. Provide Level 1 technical support and assist with technical development for others. Ensure work is performed in compliance with state, local and federal legal requirements and maintain highest ethics. Properly complete all required project and service documentation. How You Will Do It Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards. Provide safety leadership and instruction to all technicians. Provide safety awareness and instruction to subcontractors on Johnson Controls work sites. Recognized as a leader by peers, serving as coach and mentor within the branch. Escalate technical issues and provide on-the-job training for other technicians. Provide solutions to complex system problems by troubleshooting or advising resolution. Serve as escalation point from the branch to the technical resource team in Milwaukee for critical issues. Be viewed as an expert by employees and customers. Assist management in ensuring proper field operational disciplines. Regularly provide input on development and training needs of the branch. Assist in developing quotes and estimates for identified L&M work, submitting to Customer, Service Manager or Customer Service Agent. Assist in identifying material needs required for service delivery. Assist the Service Manager or Customer Service Agent in scheduling individuals with the correct skills to perform repairs or installation. Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems. Keep customers informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues, and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs. Manage assigned work to meet a professional level of execution, on-time and to customer satisfaction. Provide consultant level services for customers related to building system repairs and enhancements. Conduct self-study (reading, research, and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency. Complete all training and certifications as required by the company. Required Skills Experience demonstrating strong leadership activities. Ability to act independently and coordinate the work of other employees and contractors on a customer site. Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts. Able to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
