ECL was founded by data center veterans from companies including Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Cisco, HPE and Bloom Energy.Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Sourcing - Data Center OperationsWe are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our executive team as the Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Sourcing for our data center operations.This critical role will be responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies to optimize our global supply chain, drive operational excellence, and ensure the seamless delivery of mission-critical infrastructure and equipment to support our rapidly expanding data center network.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership - Develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with our long-term business objectives and growth plansLead internal and external engagements across Supply Chain, Engineering, and Business organizations to drive nimble, agile, and resilient supply chainsAnalyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and risk mitigationProcurement and Vendor Management - Oversee the development of strategic sourcing initiatives for critical data center components, including energy and water infrastructure, new product introductions, and non-standard HV/MV/LV equipmentEstablish and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers and technology partners to ensure continuity of supply and drive innovationLead negotiations for complex, high-value contracts and develop long-term supply agreements to mitigate risks and drive cost savingsOperational Excellence - Drive continuous improvement efforts across the supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate data center delivery timelinesImplement best-in-class procurement processes, including category management, benchmarking, should-cost modeling, and strategic sourcing methodologiesDevelop and monitor key performance indicators to measure supply chain effectiveness and supplier performanceTeam Leadership and Development - Build and lead a high-performing global team of supply chain and procurement professionalsFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the organizationServe as a thought leader and subject matter expert in supply chain management for data center operationsQualificationsMaster\'s degree (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field15+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management, with a focus on data center infrastructure or similar technology-driven industriesProven track record of developing and implementing global supply chain strategies in a high-growth environmentDeep understanding of data center technologies, energy infrastructure, and emerging trends in the industryStrong financial acumen and experience managing large-scale budgets and driving cost optimization initiativesExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with theability to influence at all levels of the organization and with external partnersExperience with digital procurement solutions and data analytics tools to drive insights and decision-makingAdditional InformationThis position requires up to 15% travel to global locationsThe successful candidate will report directly to the CEOLocation: Mountain View, CAThis is an in-person job and requires the candidate to be at the Mountain View facility a minimum of 4 days a week.We offer a competitive compensation package, including equity, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to shape the future of global data center infrastructure.
