Position Overview We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our Public Entity and Tort Litigation defense practice groups. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage a robust caseload while maintaining excellence in written work, client communication, and courtroom preparation. Key Responsibilities Draft and respond to written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, and admissions). Conduct medical/employment record reviews to identify key case facts. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Support trial preparation, including drafting motions, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witnesses. Manage expert witnesses—selection, preparation, and testimony coordination. Provide clear, timely client updates and case status reports. Leverage cloud-based platforms and AI tools to improve efficiency and outcomes. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active admission to the California State Bar (required). Minimum 3 years of commercial or civil litigation experience. Strong knowledge of litigation processes and procedural rules. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Familiarity with cloud-based litigation platforms and billing protocols. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing deadlines. Salary Range: $155,000 – $185,000 Quarterly billable hour bonuses & discretionary performance bonuses. IRA with employer matching. Comparable paid time off.
