Account Director at Siemens Grid Software Here at Siemens Grid Software, our mission is to accelerate and secure the energy transition in a sustainable and profitable way. We are paving the way for autonomous grid management, empowering grid operators to accelerate their digital transformation easier, faster, and at scale. By leaving behind traditional ways of tackling the energy growth challenge and embracing the powerful capabilities of software and digital technology, we turn the complexity of grids into a competitive advantage. No matter where power comes from or where it goes, we make sure it makes its way at every step — safely, efficiently, and intelligently. We are looking for an Account Director (AD) to support Siemens’ largest accounts in the Mid‑Atlantic or Northeastern U.S. This is an outstanding opportunity to employ your proven electrical utility domain expertise in providing solutions while selling both software and energy automation equipment. This is a remote position based in the Northeastern or Mid‑Atlantic US. Designed to accelerate the energy transition and electrification, Siemens Grid Software helps utilities shape the future of their power landscape. We offer a whole spectrum of innovative products and solutions — for energy protection and automation as well as communication technology, including data analytics technologies based on digital twin solutions and IoT applications. You’ll make an impact as you: Identify, implement, and drive sales for your targeted accounts while reporting to the VP of Key Account Sales. Contribute to achieving yearly sales targets and overall success, including: Crafting and supporting account plans for your dedicated accounts — and driving go‑to‑market growth initiatives, sales strategies, and orders. Cultivating CxO‑level, VP, and Director relationships with target municipalities and investor‑owned utilities while clearly communicating Siemens’ vision, value proposition, and key differentiators. Achieving strategic corporate initiatives for sales priorities, growth, and culture. Driving the launch/roll‑out of new offerings and commercial models. Helping clients build cases for funding requests. Providing weekly updates regarding forecast, funnel, initiatives, and key opportunities. Representing the enterprise utility team in other essential functions, such as product management, bid management, marketing, engineering, customer support, and solution delivery. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic qualifications: Extensive experience selling grid software to energy utility customers, with proven skills in: Managing, analyzing, and winning complex bids. Negotiating contract renewals and managing conflict. Creating and executing sales campaigns. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple internal product teams to customize solutions for your customers. Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization — including director/VP and C‑Suite — in proficient English. Proven track record of account management, including accurate sales forecasting, sales process management, and successful attainment of quota across multiple product lines. Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for a STEM or business focus. Ability to travel up to 30%. Ability to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization. Preferred qualifications: Experience with MEDDICC and/or Challenger selling. Experience in On‑Prem and Cloud‑Based Solutions. Proficiency with Salesforce and Revegy preferred. Knowledge of electric power distribution networks. Create a better #TomorrowWithUs About Siemens: We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. From more resource‑efficient factories, resilient supply chains, and smarter buildings and grids, to sustainable transportation as well as advanced healthcare, we create technology with the purpose of adding real value for customers. Our Commitment to Equity and Inclusion in our Diverse Global Workforce: We value your unique identity and perspective. We are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society, while ensuring that we attract the best talent based on qualifications, skills, and experiences. We welcome you to bring your authentic self and transform the everyday with us.
