Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a global security engineering strategy aligned with the company’s overall security goals and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate security engineering initiatives with business priorities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously enhance the company’s security posture.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of security engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages excellence and creativity.
  • Security Architecture and Engineering:
  • Design, implement, and oversee security architectures that protect the company’s infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Ensure the integration of security controls and measures into all aspects of technology and operations.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Risk Management and Incident Response:
  • Identify and assess security risks, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage these risks.
  • Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities, coordinating with other teams to manage and resolve issues effectively.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration tests and vulnerability scans, to identify and address potential threats.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to ensure security solutions are integrated seamlessly into the company’s technology ecosystem.
  • Partner with external vendors, consultants, and industry experts to leverage additional expertise and resources.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident response activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior security engineering role, with a track record of successful leadership and project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, incident response, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and act decisively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with global security operations and managing security teams across multiple regions.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced security threats and emerging technologies.
