Job Summary: The Great Yosemite Retreat is seeking a meticulous and reliable Vacation Rental Cleaner/Housekeeper to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in vacation rental properties. The Vacation Rental Cleaner/Housekeeper will be responsible for performing thorough deep cleans, maintaining inventory, and upholding the company's quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Position: Independent Contractor - Vacation Rental Cleaner/Housekeeper

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform thorough deep cleans of vacation rental properties, including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and bedrooms. Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including countertops, sinks, showers, toilets, appliances, and furniture. Remove trash, dust, and debris from all areas. Vacuum carpets and rugs, and sweep or mop hard floors.Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard of quality and cleanliness.

Linen and Towel Management: Change and wash linens, towels, and other bedding items. Make beds and arrange linens neatly and attractively. Ensure that clean and fresh linens are properly stored and ready for use in the vacation rental properties.

Restocking Supplies: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and amenities. Check inventory levels of supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and cleaning products. Inform Company management when supplies are running low or need to be replenished.

Maintenance and Reporting: Inspect vacation rental properties for any damages, maintenance issues, or missing items during cleaning duties. Follow protocols for reporting and documenting any damages, incidents, accidents, maintenance needs, or missing items promptly and accurately to Company management.

Time Management and Scheduling: Adhere to assigned cleaning schedules and complete tasks within designated timeframes. Coordinate cleaning activities with Company management or team members to ensure efficient property turnovers. Adjust cleaning priorities as needed based on guest arrivals, departures, and any special requests. 

Communication and Teamwork: Communicate and collaborate effectively with Company management, staff members, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality cleaning services. Provide assistance and support to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Prior Cleaning Experience: Previous cleaning experience, preferably in the vacation rental or hospitality industry, is strongly preferred. Understanding of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment is desired. Familiarity with best practices for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Capable of lifting and carrying heavy cleaning equipment and supplies (up to 25 pounds).

Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure thorough cleaning and meticulous attention to all areas. Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality.

Time Management and Adaptability: Ability to work independently. Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.

Communication and Teamwork: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

Schedule: This is a part-time independent contractor position with a flexible schedule where Contractor will retain full discretion over their work schedule. Contractor will be responsible for managing their time effectively to meet the agreed upon timeframe for cleaning services. Due to the nature of guest stays and property turnovers, some work may be required during evenings, weekends and holidays. Contractor will have full discretion over which tasks to accept and the specific hours they choose to work during these times.

Compensation: The pay rate for the Vacation Rental Cleaner position will be $20.00 during the Company trial period. Upon successful completion of the trial period, the pay rate will be $25.00 per hour.  

Salary range$25 - $25 per hour 

Disclaimer: The position requires flexibility in work location and may be assigned to any site within Oakhurst as needed. Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate to accommodate the varying location requirements.
