Responsibilities Work in three patient‑care areas: inpatient unit, outpatient clinic, and operating room. Serve as first assist in the operating room while alternating weeks in the inpatient unit and clinic. Collaborate with a team of six Physician Assistants. Provide clinical care in coordination with physicians to patients in Surgical Oncology. Perform physical exam and assessment of surgical oncology patients in the office. Assist in surgery and on the inpatient floor. Triage patients on the telephone, post‑operatively, and in the office. Assist with ordering diagnostic tests as needed. Assist physicians with procedures. Requirements Must possess a Physician Assistant degree from an accredited school. Two years of experience as a practicing PA preferred. Must possess a State of Maryland Physician Assistant License in good standing. Certification requirements: CPR. Proficient in the use of various computers and software programs. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact tactfully with patients, physicians, and the general public.
