We are a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives.We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our hardware team working on future wearables and accessory devices, reporting directly to the VP, Hardware Engineering. This opportunity is hybrid out of our San Diego, CA office.What You Will DoProduct Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop the product from concept to production. Ensure electrical engineering considerations are integrated into the product development process.Electrical Design: Work with JDM partners to design and prototype electrical systems, including circuit boards, power distribution, and connectivity solutions, considering cost-effectiveness, power efficiency, and safety.Component Selection: Identify and select appropriate electronic components, sensors, and microcontrollers, considering product requirements and performance criteria.Schematic Design: Create detailed electrical schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard software tools for early prototypes.Testing and Validation: Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards. Collaborate with JDM partners and Quality Assurance to develop test plans.Collaboration: Work with JDM partners and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components within the product design. Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop embedded systems and ensure software-hardware compatibility.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as FCC, CE, and safety standards.Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost optimization in the electrical design while maintaining product quality and performance.Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and assembly instructions.RequirementsMinimum of 5+ years of related experienceProven experience in electrical design and development, preferably in consumer electronicsProficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium, Cadence)Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, batteries and communication protocolsExperience with prototype development and testingFamiliarity with regulatory compliance and certification processesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentBachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldBenefitsCompetitive salary and equity packagesHealth, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resourcesOura Ring of your own plus employee discounts for friends & family20 days of paid time off plus 13 paid holidays plus 8 days of flexible wellness time offPaid sick leave and parental leaveAmazing culture of collaborative and passionate coworkersRegion-based pay ranges and disclosures as applicableOura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on location.
