Senior Software Engineer

Bridgeway is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment, collaborating with engineers and our professional services team. The Senior Software Engineer will focus on maintaining several critical applications and thrive in a productive, team‑centric setting. Successful engineers at Bridgeway balance speed and quality throughout the entire development lifecycle. This is a remote position, with preference given to East Coast candidates. Responsibilities Maintain and update major application sub‑systems using C++, .NET, and related technologies. Assess requirements for software development projects. Provide support and research for existing and new software, and investigate, recommend, and implement new technology and solutions. Adhere to technical standards within the industry and within Bridgeway. Participate in multiple concurrent projects, including product enhancements, client customizations, third‑party integrations, and product maintenance. Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to define and execute plans for standardization, scaling, and enhancements to products and services used in deployment, installation, and release efforts. Maintain SCRUM methodology and document user stories, features, and release notes to assist application support teams. Develop programming effort estimations based on requirements and scope, and manage work progress against schedule commitments using Azure DevOps (ADO) for task management. Advocate for continuous improvement. Requirements 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full .NET framework, .NET 8, C++14, object‑oriented methodologies, web services, and front‑end web technologies (Angular, HTML, JavaScript preferred). 3+ years of experience in application design, implementation, maintenance, diagnosing and issue resolution, managing security, etc. Experience with Visual Studio (required). Experience with Azure, DevOps – CI/CD, containerization, Firebird (preferred). Experience developing in a large‑scale or multi‑platform environment (preferred). Strong understanding of Agile methodology. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
