Overview:
Global Device Company is seeking a Senior R&D Plastics Engineer to join their team In this role, you will be an individual contributor, acting as the Plastics SME for the Research and Development department.

Responsibilities: Serve as applied materials science expert within R&D.
Develop specifications, protocols, and execute studies with detailed analysis, documentation, and communication.
Design tests for materials applications (biocompatibility, processability, mechanical effectiveness) to meet FDA, ISO, and industry standards.
Interface with external organizations, experts, and emerging technologies.
Utilize databases, reports, and lab capabilities to research and resolve materials-related issues.
Provide training and guidance within the materials science team.
Prepare and present technical investigation reports to peers and management.
Demonstrate experience in compounding plastics, colorants, and additives.
Lead non-clinical and clinical studies, managing internal/external experts and resources.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
4-6 years of related experience.
Industry/professional certification preferred.
Regular attendance, occasional travel, and ability to work non-standard hours required.
Secrecy, invention, and non-compete agreements required.
