Sr. Financial Clearance Oncology Practice Spec Join Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Senior Financial Clearance Specialist in the Radiation Oncology Department. You will process all administrative and financial components of financial clearance for multiple specialties, escalating requests in a timely manner and triaging complex cases. Location: Remote Employment Type: Full Time (40 hours) Shift: Day Shift, Weekdays Key Responsibilities: Process financial clearance for multiple specialties, including complex multi‑payer insurance verification, benefit eligibility validation, and prior authorizations. Escalate requests promptly and triage complex cases. Work independently, providing input from an operational perspective on decision‑making. Cross‑train staff to perform duties by service line. Obtain and complete documentation for pre‑certification, referrals, and authorizations. Requirements: Minimum of an Associate’s degree (work experience may substitute; e.g., 2 years of experience for 1 year of education). 5–7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical office, hospital, patient access, or related field. Advanced knowledge of medical and insurance terminology. Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations (desired). Working knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10 codes as they relate to financial clearance.
