Your attention to detail and ability to thrive in intense situations will make a direct impact on patient care. Schedule: Full-time evening shift with 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including on-call responsibilities. Primarily overnight call (around 5-8 slots) and 1-2 weekend call slots every 8 weeks, with potential for varying call requirements. Major Responsibilities: Prepare the surgical area, ensuring optimal conditions for patient care utilizing aseptic techniques Maintain a clean and organized operating room, setting up for procedures efficiently Assist surgeons during procedures by providing instruments and supplies Manage equipment and notify staff of any issues Transport patients and handle various positioning duties Ensure the specialty cart is complete and all equipment is in working order Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care requirements Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 6 months if required Education Required: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Experience Required: No prior experience necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Understanding of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room equipment Strong customer service and communication skills Basic computer proficiency Commitment to ongoing educational requirements Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment Must be able to lift and carry weights as required for patient care Must meet safety requirements including exposure to hazards in the operating room Ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment This position requires dedication and a passion for patient care.
