Academy Busis is seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic for our Hoboken, NJ location. $2,500 sign‑on bonus. Earn $29.00‑$34.00 per hour (pay rate commensurate with experience). Shift 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm Responsibilities Repair, troubleshoot, and diagnose modern tour buses. Perform reconditioning, preventive, and routine maintenance. Conduct inspections and road tests. Maintain warranty and repair documentation. Diagnose, inspect, install, disassemble, and clean components such as brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages. Respond to road calls. Perform basic welding/fabrication. Assist higher‑level mechanics with skilled work and train/supervise entry‑level mechanics. Requirements 4–7 years of diesel engine maintenance experience. Must possess own tools. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instruments. Valid driver’s license. Basic computer skills. CDL license with Passenger and Air‑Brake endorsement is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain a CDL is also desirable.
