Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is actively seeking a Full-Time Radiation Oncology Nurse to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. Individuals with a defined emphasis in oncology nursing and patient focused are sought to join our team to support our patients, physicians and our three clinics. This is a patient centered and team focused clinic, we support/cover each other and providers as needed (this includes needs at our main and satellite locations)
The successful candidate will:
* Have a minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience (inpatient or clinic) with a passion for oncology care.
* The primary purpose of the Oncology Nurse position is to positively affect patient outcomes by providing, coordinating, and supporting evidence based direct patient care across the continuum of care.
* Hold a background in radiation, surgical and procedural nursing is a plus.
* Work closely with the physician to ensure the highest quality of patient care and the appropriate use of resources is achieved in collaboration of the interdisciplinary team.
* Assist with clinic procedures (i.e., scopes and brachytherapy cases).
* Excellent communication and writing skills are a must for this position.
