The full-spectrum Capital One Communications team is responsible for all aspects of the company’s communications strategy and execution in order to propel business imperatives while promoting and protecting the reputation of Capital One. Our purview includes corporate and brand media relations, issues and reputation management, financial communications, and associate communications, as well as a full-service content and creative storytelling team that brings the story of Capital One to life on internal and external channels. This position requires exceptional judgment, an ability to build relationships in a highly matrixed environment, and a sustained focus on delivering results. As a Senior Manager on the Corporate Communications team, you will lead strategic communications initiatives that enhance Capital One’s reputation and support key business objectives. You’ll manage high-impact programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work with internal and external partners to deliver creative and effective communication strategies. Primary Responsibilities Serve as a strategic advisor to internal leaders and partners on communications initiatives. Lead planning and execution of data-backed, integrated communications campaigns aligned with enterprise and line-of-business priorities. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Drive media relations efforts to secure visibility in priority outlets. Leverage data to evaluate results, extract insights and optimize future programs. Oversee team operations, including budgeting and development of best practices. Stay informed about industry trends to inform and enhance communication strategies. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or military experience. At least 6 years of communications experience. Preferred Qualifications Public relations or communications experience in financial services, technology, or consumer brands. Salary (by location) Plano, TX: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr. Communications Manager Richmond, VA: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr. Communications Manager McLean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100 for Sr. Communications Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
