Join Riverside Medical Group as a Facial Trauma Surgeon Location: Newport News, VirginiaStatus: Labor Pool (PRN/on-call) About the Role Riverside Medical Group is expanding its specialty network and seeking a Facial Trauma Surgeon to join our team at Riverside Ear, Nose and Throat Physicians and Surgeons in Newport News. This role is ideal for a surgeon who shares our commitment to providing the right care, at the right time to enhance patient well‑being and improve health outcomes. What You’ll Do Diagnose facial injuries using advanced imaging (CT scans) to assess fractures and soft tissue damage. Repair broken facial bones including jaw (mandible), cheekbones (zygoma), eye sockets (orbit), nasal bones, and forehead. Treat soft tissue injuries such as lacerations, burns, and avulsions. Restore function and appearance—helping patients breathe, chew, speak, and see properly. Perform reconstructive procedures, including: Closed reduction: repositioning bones without surgery. Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF): surgical realignment with plates and screws. Scar revision and nerve repair for long‑term recovery. Qualifications Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Experience: 1–3 years post‑residency or demonstrated specialty experience Licenses & Certifications: Active Virginia Physician License (MD/DO) Valid DEA registration Skills & Attributes Strong oral and written communication skills Collaborative approach with physicians and care teams Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment Commitment to safety, quality, and evidence‑based medicine Why Join Riverside?
