Portland, Oregon, United States Oregon Medical Association Full time

Overview

You take care of patients. We'll take care of everything else. Including you. You've spent years learning and training to provide outstanding care for your patients. That's why our model lets you focus on taking care of them. Our physicians have wrap-around practice and administrative support to do many of the things that aren't clinical, from answering emails to providing follow-up instructions, to helping secure social services for your patients. We take care of you, too, with exceptional compensation packages, market-leading retirement contributions, gold-star health benefits, generous PTO, sabbatical opportunities, continuing medical education time and allowance, and leadership development through our in-house Northwest Permanente University.

Position Overview: You can be an important part of reducing health inequality and helping to grow our newly opened Kaiser Permanente Center for Black Health and Wellness. Northwest Permanente is hiring Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physicians to join our Kaiser Permanente Northwest Center for Black Health and Wellness Primary Care team. The Center is comprised of a dedicated team of clinicians and staff that provide primary care services to our African American and Black patients in a space that is welcoming and community-focused. Within the Center, there is an emphasis on screening and prevention, with a goal of increasing our cultural humility and spreading best practices across our community. We are seeking physicians that have experience providing culturally responsive care to African American and Black patients and/or supporting BIPOC community support organizations, along with demonstrated experience addressing racial health disparities and improving health outcomes of African American and Black patients.

Working for Northwest Permanente, our Primary Care physicians enjoy:

  • Salary: $246,400 to $280,000
  • 21% employer contribution to retirement programs, including pension (This is not a match; NWP contributes an additional 21% of clinician earnings to retirement programs regardless of employee contribution)
  • 90%+ employer paid health plan
  • Paid annual education leave + $2K annual education allowance
  • Primary Care Panel Incentive - up to $55K

In addition to Projected Total Compensation value, New Hire Incentives include:

  • Student loan assistance programs - up to $125K
  • Relocation allowance - up to $15K
  • Generous sign-on bonus - up to $25K

Other Exceptional Benefits:

  • Leadership opportunities
  • Shareholder opportunities
  • Paid sabbatical after attaining shareholder status

* Projected annual total rewards value may be adjusted for FTE, experience, geography, and qualifications are subject to plan participation requirements. Speak to our physician recruiter for full details.
