APG Printing Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for a Prepress Associate at our Princeton, MN location. This is a Second Shift Position with possible Weekend shifts.The role of the Prepress Associate includes:• Assure files meet quality standards for print production and match provided job order specifications.• Review files vs. job details, bleeds, specs, fold and/or finished size.• Troubleshooting / Preflight of customer production files.• Process customer supplied files in preparation for output to plate.• Use page pairing software to impose files for output.• Proof jobs for accuracy on press.
Qualifications:• Ability to maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail.• Ability to work well in a team environment and conduct self professionally.• Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a logical and efficient manner.• Strong PC skills, with at least a basic understanding of Microsoft Office.• Knowledge of graphics software applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat recommended.• Knowledge of page layout and platemaking, or a willingness to learn.• Basic knowledge of offset printing.• Previous prepress or graphics experience preferred, but not required.• Must possess an excellent attention to detail.
