Senior Manager, Product Management - DevX Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry. About The Team Developer Experience is at the heart of our approach. Developer Experience delivers enterprise capabilities and a common developer experience enabling Capital One to thrive in the cloud. To continue our efforts in this space, we are focusing on improving Developer productivity by enhancing automation of software quality assurance on the DevOps pipeline. The challenge ahead of the team is this: how might we empower our in‑house software engineers at Capital One in improving their productivity, reducing operational risks and defects in production, ensuring the quality and well‑managed bar of each line of committed code. Responsibilities Engage all stakeholders (Engineers, SDLC, Architecture, Risk, and Cyber) directly through a variety of channels to serve as the voice of the customer internally—identifying new capabilities, defining product features, and working closely with development teams to incorporate those features. Interact with engineers to understand technical language and articulate requirements. Drive the product management practice within the organization, defining expectations and commitments. Operationalize product metrics for the products you own and build the business case for new investment. Influence senior stakeholders to use our products and share the outcomes we enable to strengthen investment. We Want You If You Are Human‑centered: lead sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs to drive the long‑term vision for your product. Turn these insights into actionable strategies that define priorities and rally stakeholders. Business‑focused: own and prioritize the long‑term (12‑18 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross‑functional team to ensure alignment. Technology‑driven: have an end‑to‑end understanding of your product and its ecosystem, anticipating impacts from technical decisions and ensuring the best tool for the job. Integrated problem‑solver: develop and champion a bold vision that drives meaningful outcomes, build frameworks for complex decision‑making, and accelerate finding the right answer. Transformational leader: rally teams and senior stakeholders to your vision, influence prioritization across partner teams, and mentor and develop associates’ product careers. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration, obtained before the scheduled start date.
