Research Support Specialist / Technical Supervisor Join to apply for the Research Support Specialist / Technical Supervisor role at SoBran‑Inc. Location: Bethesda, MD. Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $29.00/hr. Description of Duties Understands and follows all SOPs and Quality Assurance Standards. Updating Tx sheets with new cases (Shared). Training Technicians on new procedures. E‑mailing AHR (Shared). Scheduling procedures. Scheduling quarterly physicals for all covered species. Scheduling Technicians. Scheduling Vet time regarding technicians. Attending PI orientation to their facility to explain the technical services we provide and pass the per diem. Sending a quarterly animal resolution log report. Filing old AHR, tech requests, mortality sheets. Faxing mortality sheets to PIs (Shared). Sending out & replacing sentinels (Shared). Ordering sentinels. Mortality report (Shared). Billing tech time. Ordering supplies for all procedure rooms. Bi‑monthly QA and QC of the procedure rooms. Daily sign off on all procedure rooms. Ordering meds & checking for expired drugs (Shared). Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Available to work the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm M-F. May be required to work weekends from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. May be required to work extra hours during an emergency or any unexpected situation until work is completed. Required Experience Must have a BS/MS in Biology, animal sciences, or related discipline. Must have 6 years of experience in a non‑human primate facility with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Ability to work with various software programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Knowledgeable in medical terminology, nomenclature, medical records, animal anatomy and behavior. Ability to think strategically and proactively to anticipate needs, risks, and emerging requirements. Strong analytical and decision‑making skills. AALASS certified at LATG a must.
