Title: System Testing Technician

Nature of Role: The System Testing Technician reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of system parametric and functional testing. This will include, but not be limited to, following testing guidelines to ensure reliability in the field using measurement tools and standard practices, keeping accurate records of results, running DNA samples and interpreting findings, computer set up and handling, boxing and final packaging of the instrument. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and be prepared to tackle a broad set of challenges as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow processes and procedures to adhere to quality standards
  • Record measurement findings in a reliable and accurate manner
  • Maintain and improve testing procedures
  • Ability to find and diagnose problems with the system and correct them as needed
  • Analyze trends in system quality
  • Parametric and functional testing of the instrument
  • Document functional test methods and procedures for the instrument that includes printed circuit board assemblies, pneumatics, fluidics with various electro-mechanical components
  • Verify product testing and performance against design inputs
  • Computer and software setup and testing
  • Final packaging of the instrument

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or quality environment
  • Hands-on experience in working with complex instrumentation
  • Experience working with various types of testing equipment from manual measuring equipment to fully automated testing systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, Power Point
  • QMS experience a plus
  • Ability to lift 45lbs
