We are seeking a candidate for the position of Temporary Digital Content Specialist (9902) in the Communications Department.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Specilist with a background in writing and/or journalism to join our Communications team. As a Digital Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing ditigal content across various platforms to engage and inform our audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Content Creation: Write compelling and engaging content for our website, blog, social media channels, internal newsletters, and other digital platforms. Content may include articles, blog posts, social media updates, campaigns, and more.

2. Content Editing: Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity and adherence to brand guidelines. This inclused checking grammar, spelling, punctutation, and consistency in style and tone. Maintaining brand integrity and enhance brand recognition.

3. Content Strategy: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute content startegies that align with business objectives and target audience interests. This may involve conducting research, analyzign data, and staying updated on transportation trends.

4. Social Media Management: Manage executive leadership social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments, and identify areas for improvement.

5. Audience Engagement: Engage with our inernal audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional matter. Foster a sense of community and build relationships with employees.

6. Content Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics executive leadership social media accounts using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, Microsoft Viva engage, and email marketing platforms. Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions to optimize future content strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communicatons, English, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital content creation, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and adherence to brand voice.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
