Our comprehensive analytics bring customer stories and journeys to life—delivering measurable business impact for our brand partners while enhancing the customer experience.As a Senior Data Scientist, you will join the Data Science and AI sub‑team within the KPM Portfolio Expansion organization. In this role, you’ll research and develop innovative data science and AI capabilities that address strategic use cases across KPM’s commercial portfolio. You will collaborate with fellow data scientists, product managers, and AI enablement teams to prototype new methodologies, explore emerging AI technologies, and build scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.Success in this role requires a research‑oriented mindset, technical creativity, strong hands‑on skills with tools such as Python, PySpark, SQL, Power BI, and modern AI frameworks, and the ability to thrive in a cross‑functional team environment by driving collaboration across data science, product, and business stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesContribute to prototyping solutions that enable rapid go/no‑go decisions under uncertainty, with guidance from senior team members.Partner with lead data scientists and business stakeholders to explore ambiguous, high‑risk, high‑reward opportunities.Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including product, engineering, and AI enablement—throughout discovery, prototyping, and scaling.Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability when exploring new AI domains, while working alongside experienced peers to shape problem statements and solution approaches.Support project execution by managing tasks effectively, to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.Partner with software engineering and product teams to automate and scale deliverables.Interpret results and translate analysis into actionable recommendations and client‑ready stories.Contribute to building scalable, high‑quality code and pipelines, with mentorship on best practices for automation and optimization.Identify gaps and opportunities in existing science, measurement, and data solutions—bringing forward ideas for team discussion.Continuously challenge and improve 84.51°’s analytical capabilities and products.Guide and mentor junior data scientists in driving efficiencies, automation, and standardization.Share knowledge, contribute to best practices, and build efficiencies as part of a collaborative data science community.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or related discipline.Proficiency with our technology stack: Azure, Python, Spark, GitHub, Power BI, Snowflake.Experience with GenAI/AgenticAI tools and technologies, including prompt engineering and intent extraction using modern LLM APIs or frameworks (e.g., OpenAI function calling, LangChain).2+ years of experience extracting insights from large databases, translating them into actionable solutions, and presenting to stakeholders.2+ years of experience applying advanced algorithms, programming, or technologies in analytics solution development.Demonstrated success in solving vague, unstructured problems and delivering clear, business‑facing solutions.Strong technical fluency and ability to translate complex concepts for non‑technical audiences.Skilled in data visualization and storytelling with data.Ability to balance technical rigor with business practicality to drive efficient value.Strong business acumen and passion for commercial success.High independence and ability to make time‑sensitive decisions in ambiguous settings.Excellent time and project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities.Strong emotional intelligence, communication, and presentation skills.Natural curiosity, openness to change, and willingness to experiment—even if it means failing and learning.What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking someone who is:Self‑motivated and thrives in ambiguous, evolving environments.Research‑minded, with curiosity to explore emerging AI technologies.Strong technical expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and AI/LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI APIs).Ability to connect technical solutions to business impact.2+ years of experience in advanced analytics, modeling, or AI solution development.Pay Transparency and BenefitsThe stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor.
