Civil Designer Engineer

Location: San Luis ObispoDuties: Responsible for development of project design concepts, plans, reports, and specifications for various types of civil engineering projects, such as commercial, industrial, and residential development, public works facility improvements including grading, roadway geometric layout, underground utility design, erosion and sediment control, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), low impact design, post-construction stormwater requirements, drainage system design, hydrology and hydraulics design, cost estimating, and preparation of project reports. Provide coordination and communication for clients and agency staff. Manage project scope and budgets; train design and production staff.Specific Experience: Experience in General Civil Engineering, preparation of reports, improvement plans, quantities, and bonding estimates for land development projects. Experience with grading and drainage design, stormwater requirements and regulations, low impact development requirements, and entitlement process.Key Expectations: Professionalism with a responsible work ethic, clear communication skills, learning and adhering to company Quality Control procedures. Candidate must demonstrate strong design skills including scope, budget, and scheduling control, strong project delivery experience including working with design team and consultants, and meeting quality deliverable expectations.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, California professional registration, minimum of five years of qualifying experience, and demonstrate proficiency in Civil 3D 2024.Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.About Wallace Group: Wallace Group is a reflection of our community.
