Job Overview: We are looking for a committed and proficient Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will conduct various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials. Your expertise will play a key role in the precise diagnosis and treatment of patients, significantly impacting their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Radiopharmaceuticals: Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and handling in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Imaging Procedures: Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans, following established protocols and safety standards.
Data Analysis: Analyze imaging results, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and determine the best course of action.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any technical issues.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions and providing reassurance to alleviate concerns.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety protocols, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Certification: Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) required.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
