If you're ready to take the next step, discover what’s possible with LPL Financial.Job Overview:We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position for an Sr. Engineer of Network Security within the Security Architecture and Engineering team, part of LPL’s Technology Information Security organization. This individual will be focusing on complex, enterprise level security and networking projects, standards creation and enforcement, and network security engineering. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded security-focused background, demonstrated IT security and architecture expertise, as well as the ability to autonomously manage projects. This individual will interface with others within the IT organization, as well as other internal business units and partners. They will create and maintain functional and technical design specifications, documentation, and solution diagrams to satisfy security project requirements.The person will report to the VP of Information Security Engineering and will be an involved member of the InfoSec team. The individual fulfilling this role must display an in-depth understanding of new trends and technologies related to security, networking and compliance and contribute to the firms IT security strategy and roadmap.Responsibilities:Partner with Enterprise and Security Architecture teams to ensure proposed solutions adhere to enterprise security standards.Partner with IT Network team on various projects including security solution implementations.Assess information security systems and processes to identify potential risk gaps and compliance issuesDocument network security solution architectures; identify visibility, observability, and control gapsPartner with Enterprise and Security Architecture teams to ensure proposed solutions adhere to defined specificationsConduct research to keep abreast of latest industry trends, topics, and security issuesMember of on-call rotation to support response to information security incidentsPerforms other job-related duties or special projects as assignedWhat are we looking for?We want strong collaborators who can deliver a world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.Requirements:4+ years of hands-on design, configuration, and delivery experience with network security solutions4+ years of hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining a secure web proxy solution such as Netskope or ZscalerExperience with an NDR solution (Extrahop, Vectra, Corelight, Darktrace)Experience managing cloud security services such as Cisco Umbrella4+ years’ direct experience in an IT related field providing support and systems engineering.4+ years’ experience with scripting tools (Curl, Python, Glue, PowerShell) and automation4+ years’ experience collaborating with technical team members, business analysts, and project/program managers to ensure a quality solution is delivered.Preferences:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related fieldHands-on experience with designing and implementing an NDR solution (Extrahop, Vectra, Corelight, Darktrace)Industry relevant security certifications: CISSP, CCNP-Security, PCNSE, or NSE (strongly preferred, but not required)Hands-on experience managing and monitoring CDN or cloud based edge solutions.Expertise documenting and diagram solutions and infrastructureExcellent ability to document and diagram solutions and infrastructureExperience with software including Jira, Confluence, Service Now and Microsoft O365.Strong verbal and written communications skills; must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology to various levels of the organization.#LI-HybridPay Range:$97,725-$162,875/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
