Merchandise Planning System Manager

ON-SITE - Charlotte, NC 28273


The Cato Corporation is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planning System Manager to join our IT Department.


JOB SUMMARY:

Full responsibility of the Merchandise Planning and Assortment Planning Systems, including maintenance and user support. Liaison between business groups and IT.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with Merchandise Financial Planning systems (JDA/Bluer Yonder, Oracle MFP) with functional expertise and hands-on experience in configurations, module building/maintenance, and mid-tier batch support
  • Design, develop, test & implement system solutions to support business needs
  • Responsible for ensuring integrity of data within the Planning system
  • Oversee all training and development of planning system users
  • Work with IT to identify & prioritize information needs of all Planning organizations
  • Mentors associated staff
  • Maintains Retail Price Management System for all divisions


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • JDA Blue Yonder Planning System Administration
  • Oracle Retail Merchandising
  • Oracle Assortment Planning
  • Retail planning
  • System testing
  • At least 3 years of management experience


EDUCATION:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
