Diet Clerk - Call Center - Per Diem - 4S Ranch Scripps Health supports several hospital campuses and outpatient centers. This casual per‑dime position is located at our Corporate Dietary Call Center in 4S Ranch. Work schedule: weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and evenings (11:00 am‑7:30 pm and 3:45 pm‑7:45 pm). The role requires effective communication in a high‑volume call‑center environment. Responsibilities Process diet orders and assist patients with menu selections. Differentiate between food and medication allergies; maintain current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance with physician diet orders. Serve as liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services, addressing patient complaints, food issues, and basic questions about meals/diets. Required Qualifications SD County Food Handler Card, Food Safety Certificate, or ability to pass the Food Handlers test within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and work in a fast‑paced office. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency with multiple computer systems. Experience using EMR. College courses in nutrition. Bilingual English/Spanish. Pay & Benefits Position Pay Range: $24.46–$29.84 per hour.
