Two Postdoctoral Training Positions Available at UTSW Host–Microbial Interactions: Two postdoctoral positions are available in the Xin Li Laboratory at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) under the mentorship of Dr. Xin Li, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Immunology. Established in 2023, the Li Lab studies how intestinal microbes regulate local and systemic immune responses. Current projects focus on the mechanisms underlying the biogenesis and sensing of inflammatory eukaryotic RNAs, the molecular mechanisms of toxin–antitoxin systems, and how these pathways regulate mammalian immunity and disease. The Xin Li Lab is supported by stable funding from UT Southwestern and Children’s Health, the Cellular Immunotherapeutics Program (CITP), an NIH K99/R00 Independence Award, the NIH/NIAID DP2 New Innovator Award (2025–2030), and the Kenneth Rainin Foundation Innovator Award. Qualifications: Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D., or be close to graduating. Backgrounds in RNA biology, immunology, microbial genetics, biochemistry, or computational biology are encouraged. A first-author peer-reviewed publication is recommended.
