Cloud Solutions Architect

OverviewThe Opportunity:The Solution Architect will lead the adoption of cloud computing principles and public cloud services, designing secure, scalable, resilient, and efficient infrastructure solutions that align with Fisher standards and security requirements. You will mentor technical teams, establish the best practices for cloud solution deployment and management, and help develop sustainable infrastructure architecture. You will report to the AVP - Infrastructure Platforms and Systems.The Day-to-Day:Design, engineer and lead the architecture and implementation of cloud solutions with appropriate technologies and capabilities to meet our requirementsUnderstand in-depth the cloud technology trends, the latest new ideas, options and solutions available on how to evolve the capabilities and use within the firm to address the evolving operating modelInvestigate and monitor the current-state cloud usage solutions in use to identify gaps, limitations and come up with the required solutions and remediationsImplement cloud platform services that are scalable, available, fault-tolerant, with multi-region deployment modelsLead creation of cloud-focused standards, building blocks and patterns to ensure deployed solutions are secure, scalable, and resilientWork with other enterprise architects, application architects and security architects to provide a solid and secure IaaS and PaaS platform in AzureEnsure cloud solutions are implemented and delivered with best practices, appropriate controls and documentationLead and provide expertise on cloud solutions and knowledge transfer and mentoring other team membersDesign, develop, and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized application environmentYour Qualifications:10 years designing and building complex enterprise scale software applications or platforms5 years of experience designing solutions in Cloud (Minimum 3 years in Azure)Expertise in core cloud technologies (compute, storage, networking, databases), multi-cloud deployments, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).5 years of experience serving as technical lead for software architecture design5 years of experience defining architectural tradeoffs and communicating architectural decisions to all stakeholders3 years of experience building scalable and reliable solutionsStrong knowledge of networking and multi-tenant architecture, with proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issuesKnowledge of Azure AI and exposure to Artificial Intelligence technologies, frameworks, or solutionsServer lifecycle management and configuration management using tools such as Ansible preferredHands-on experience building infrastructure and solutions that support AI/ML workloads preferredAbility to effectively communicate complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesAzure Architect certification preferredBachelor\'s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or related fieldWhy Fisher Investments:We work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe.
