Your contributions will directly impact production efficiency and product quality, making a meaningful difference in our operations.Skills Strong project management abilities Proficient in 3D modeling software Ability to read and interpret Moldflow analyses Experience with various mold materials and metal types Advanced knowledge of both cold runner and hot runner manifold systems Excellent analytical, creativity, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Responsibilities Develop and implement tooling strategies to support production goals Manage new tool construction projects Collaborate with engineering and production teams for efficient tooling design Oversee the tooling repair department Monitor tooling performance and identify areas for improvement Design and develop new tooling, fixtures, and gages Create and maintain documentation for all tooling and processes Analyze data and make recommendations for improvement Collaborate with suppliers to ensure tooling quality and reliability Research technologies for enhanced mold repair and maintenance Ensure moldability of new and existing product designs Seek continuous improvements in products, molds, materials, and manufacturing Qualifications A bachelors degree in engineering or a related field 15+ years of experience in the injection molding industry with a focus on tool design 10+ years in a supervisory and management capacity Direct hands-on experience in mold design and construction Experience collaborating with teams of engineers and technicians Good working knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes Education Requirements Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field Education Requirements Credential Category Engineering or related field Experience Requirements 15+ years in the injection molding industry, focusing on tool design 10+ years in supervisory and management roles Experience with various polymers and plastics manufacturing processes Why work in Winchester, KYWinchester offers a welcoming community with a blend of small-town charm and modern conveniences.
