Our customers choose Tessell for our exceptional user experience, empowering everyone to harness the power of data effortlessly.As a Senior Product Designer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working alongside engineers, product managers, and content strategists to craft seamless, user-centric experiences.What Will You Do as a Senior Product Designer at Tessell?Lead Design Initiatives: Independently manage and deliver comprehensive design projects from ideation to launch, setting high standards of excellence for the team.Navigate Complexity: Work with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to tackle challenging design problems and project constraints, ensuring exceptional outcomes for diverse user groups.Drive Innovation: Employ participatory and co-design methods to innovate and elevate the user experience. Regularly challenge and evolve existing design paradigms.Quality and Precision: Ensure high-quality, consistent design execution across features or projects, making critical design decisions independently and confidently.What Types of Challenges Will You Work On?Strategic Design Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling design vision that aligns with Tessell's overall business strategy and product roadmap.Scaling Design Practices: Establish and refine design processes and methodologies to scale effectively as the team and product offerings grow.Influencing Product Strategy: Actively participate in product strategy discussions, advocating for design-led innovation and user experience improvements.Proactive Solutions: Proactively identify, define, and communicate intricate problems within project or product teams, providing innovative and pragmatic solutions.Equity and Innovation: Recognize when proposed solutions deliver limited benefit to users or create/reinforce inequities in experiences and take bold steps to communicate and address these issues with team leads.How Do We Execute Great Design at Tessell?Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage closely with product, engineering, and research teams to communicate user insights and advocate effectively for the user's voice.Mentorship and Growth: Mentor junior designers, fostering an environment of growth, learning, and critical thinking.Leadership and Influence: Align and integrate product team efforts with overarching strategic goals, driving clarity and vision across teams.Continual Improvement: Actively refine our design methodologies, tools, and processes, pushing boundaries to elevate the team's overall performance.Minimum Qualifications6 - 8 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your best workProven experience leading and mentoring design teamsExpert proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practicesExperience with user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisionsProficiency in creating interactive prototypes and design specificationsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisionsExperience developing and maintaining design systemsBachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related fieldKnowledge of current design trends and emerging technologiesAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailYour Profile Would Stand Out If You Have:Advocate strongly for exceptional UX design and consistently challenge traditional design practices.Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail, quality, and craft in all your design work.Can articulate and visualize compelling design narratives that influence stakeholders.Have a passion for tackling open-ended problems and collaborating across diverse teams.Who Are We Looking For?We're seeking individuals with a startup mindset—those who bring flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities, agility to deliver quickly and iteratively, and tenacity to overcome challenges and drive impactful solutions.
