Job Description: Job Title: CT Technologist - Radiology Location: Main Campus 7043, San Angelo, TX 76903 Duration: 13 weeks / 36 hrs per week Education: High School Diploma Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology, Program of Study: Radiologic Technology Experience: Clinical Radiology: Preferred, 2 years of experience preferred Certifications & Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Required Current, Valid Texas Driver's License: Required Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) License from the State of Texas: Required The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Radiography R.T. (R): Required The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Computed Tomography (CT): Required Additional Requirements: Key Responsibilities: Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures accurately and efficiently. Ensure patient safety and comfort during CT scans. Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns. Operate CT equipment and monitor patients during scans to ensure high-quality images. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic images. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines. Follow proper safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Stay updated on advances in CT technology and participate in ongoing education and training. Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in operating CT & Radiology equipment and related technology. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
