About the job Position: Senior Trial Attorney - Complex Commercial Litigation Location: Coral Gables, Florida Firm Size:12 Attorneys Overview We are a well-established Coral Gables law firm seeking aSenior Trial Attorneyto lead trial strategy and courtroom execution incomplex commercial litigationmatters in Florida state and federal courts. This is along-term, senior-level rolefor an accomplished first-chair trial lawyer who wants primary responsibility for trying cases, exercising independent judgment, and leading litigation efforts from case inception through verdict. The position is designed for an attorney who thrives in the courtroom and takes ownership of the firm’s trial function, not for a project-based or transitional hire. Key Responsibilities Serve aslead trial strategist and first-chair trial attorneyin complex litigation matters inFlorida state and federal courts Oversee all trial preparation, including pleadings, discovery strategy, dispositive motions, jury instructions, voir dire, and trial presentation Manage and mentor litigation attorneys, coordinating responsibilities and ensuring consistent trial standards Collaborate closely with firm leadership on case strategy, staffing, and client communication Work directly with clients, experts, and consultants throughout the litigation lifecycle Ensure trial readiness, organization, and adherence to deadlines in high-stakes matters Assist in evaluating cases for trial posture, settlement strategy, and risk assessment Qualifications 5–10 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis oncomplex commercial or business litigation Minimum of 10 trials completed as first-chair counselinstate and federal courts Candidates must be able toidentify the specific cases and jurisdictionsin which they served as first-chair trial counsel “First chair” meansprimary responsibility for trial strategy, witness examination, and courtroom advocacy, not supervisory, advisory, or limited roles Experience must includecomplex commercial or business disputesand not be limited to personal injury, insurance defense, or volume-based practices Active member in good standing of theFlorida Bar Demonstrated ability tooperate with minimal supervisionand exerciseindependent judgment in high-stakes matters Proven experienceleading and managing litigation teamsthrough trial Exceptional courtroom presence, oral advocacy, and strategic judgment What We Offer Leadership role in a growing litigation practice Opportunity to meaningfully influence trial strategy and firm direction Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Collaborative, professional work environment in Coral Gables High-quality, substantive trial work (not a volume practice) Our Culture At AC Law, our firm culture is a cornerstone of everything we do.
