Land Surveying firm in Spanish Fort, AL seeking a surveying rodman. This position will be working with a Registered Land Surveyor and assisting in developing survey databases, boundary, topographic surveys, and construction staking, for engineering design projects and individual surveying clients.

Job Summary:

  • Surveys consist of topographic, boundary, subdivision, ALTA, wetlands and construction layout to determine the locations of natural and man-made features.
  • Operate survey instruments such as robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, and other standard survey equipment to collect field data.
  • Interpret construction plans, perform necessary calculations in the field, and perform construction layout. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances.
  • Set up, minor maintenance, and operation of all field survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
  • Possess talent to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Familiar with field procedures for performing boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys.
  • Ability to work outside in all seasons.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
