Job Description Position: Oracle PL/SQL Developer Place of Performance: Alexandria, VA Duration: Long Term Must Have: Active Secret Security Clearance Responsibilities Define and create data structures for schemas including tables, views, indexes, etc. Understand table indexing and query strategies, database objects maintenance, and performance issues. Proficiency in writing packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Read, understand, and improve (refactor) existing SQL and PL/SQL code. Unit test code and identify and fix bugs. Assist in developing deployment scripts for releases. Develop and enforce coding standards and source code development standards. Create accurate and consistent technical documentation. Support and understand multiple existing applications and schemas. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and handle workload effectively. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience with Oracle and PL/SQL in software development. Solid understanding of the Relational Model. Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle platform. Experience with Oracle database design and development using PL/SQL. Self-directed with the ability to work independently and in a team. Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple applications. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with Toad and UNIX/Linux.
