The Warehouse Associate I (Used Parts) is primarily responsible for replenishing, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders through accurate verification and completion of paperwork and materials management. They will perform proper inventory maintenance activities through quality control steps and adherence to warehouse procedures. They will disassemble parts as needed from machines, parts groups or attached arrangements down to the specific item number ordered. Warehouse Associates also safely operate heavy machinery, material handling equipment and maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Execute standard procedures for all assigned duties.
  • Properly read and execute parts tickets and packaging instructions and recognize the distinction between products.
  • Understand inventory processes, interior warehouse locations and exterior yard layout.
  • Pull parts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify and safely disassemble individual parts from machines, parts groups or parts arrangements, as necessary.
  • Safely and effectively clean, prep and paint parts to bring to Blanchard Used Parts standards prior to shipping.
  • Build shipping pallets and containers to effectively protect and eliminate product damage during transport.
  • Inspect all incoming items to accurately identify and label with correct part number via SIS, BOSS and other internal programs.
  • Follow parts stocking guidelines for incoming items to add into inventory, move to misc. stock, add to auction items or scrap part due to non-usability.
  • Accurately document all inventory changes verified through physical counts on proper paperwork in a timely manner and give to the Used Parts administrator for completion.
  • Check and fill the fire system water tank to the required water level a minimum of once per month.
  • Ability to work safely and follow all BMC safety policies when performing job tasks; recognize safety concerns in the shipping/receiving area.
  • As required, or directed, safely operate heavy equipment and material handling equipment to pull, transport, load, unload, transfer, relocate and secure items for shipment and receipt.
  • Inspects all heavy equipment and material handling equipment daily prior to operation and requests and perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Keep assigned area clean and organized.
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Aptitude preferred.
  • Organizational and time management skills required. Must have the ability to set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with dealing with a fast paced industry and deadlines.
  • Must be a Team player that is enthusiastic and hard working with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of interpersonal skills with solid written and oral communication skills is required.
  • Must possess the personal discipline to establish the proper image as a representative of Blanchard Machinery with the ability to meet and work with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong problem solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Must be able to lift varied weight.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
