Join to apply for the APP Cardiology Inpatient/UKHC role at Inside Higher Ed Position Title: APP Cardiology Inpatient/UKHC Requisition Number: RE52317 Working Title: APP Cardiology Inpatient Department Name: MG31C:IM-CARDIOLOGY Work Location: Lexington, KY Grade Level: 15 Salary Range: $95,056-185,848/year Type Of Position: Staff Position Time Status: Full-Time Job Summary The Cardiology inpatient APP (Advanced Practice Provider) functions within the acute and critical care hospital setting and works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions primarily in the inpatient setting managing the care of acute and chronically ill patients related to cardiovascular diagnoses. The APP is generally on a service aligned team and manages the day to day patient care from step down to discharge. In some instances the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population as they return for follow up in the outpatient setting. The APP has a strong foundation in evidence based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe quality care. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation. Required Qualifications Education: MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants Required Related Experience: 1 year License/Registration/Certification: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) Physical Requirements: On occasion, may lift objects up to 50 lbs. Shift: Days, weekends, evenings, and on-call.
