JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for a Fabricator to come work on-site at our Granite Shop in Dane, WI (5 minutes north of Madison). A skilled associate for this role has the ability to operate heavy machinery and collaborate with the team to create different kinds of granite countertops. Your day-to-day involves a lot of movement and hands-on skill
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
A typical day might look like this: Some of our Designers will stop in to take a look at the different granite options we have and you'll help them see what they have to choose from. Then, you'll go ahead and take some basic measurements of customers' orders, and prepare the slabs of granite to be cut. Once they are cut, you'll apply the finishing touches by polishing and treating them. This is a team effort; you'll have the entire shop there to support you, and in turn you'll have the back of everyone on the team. Together, you will reach a common goal: masterfully crafting elegant countertops.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

For this role, we're on the lookout for a strong individual who can lift up to 50 pounds of materials, unassisted, on a regular basis. To complete all of our different kinds of projects, the ability to read simple instructions and operate basic lifting machines and devices will be imperative.
