The Senior Loss Control Specialist provides expert risk management solutions and loss control services to policyholders, identifying potential hazards and risks within the workplace, assessing safety protocols, and implementing strategies to minimize accidents or injuries and mitigate workers' compensation claims. The role involves providing insights to Underwriting, collaborating with policyholders to enhance safety culture, and traveling extensively by car, plane, or train.What We’re Looking ForMust live in the San Diego area.Essential ResponsibilitiesManages assigned book of business in a given territory; ensures service plans are in place and Underwriting is informed of progress.Schedules and completes onsite visits, evaluating workplace environments, identifying risks, and producing documentation of findings and recommendations.Monitors policyholder loss activity and develops loss reduction strategies.Applies technical knowledge to assist policyholders in improving safety and loss control; provides consultative and training services.Serves as a subject matter expert and training resource for internal partners and external customers; conducts onsite training.Maintains professional designations and certifications required for the territory.Participates in departmental initiatives and performs special assignments and projects.Required QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health & Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline.Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
