Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments of patients, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and ordering diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Prescribe medications and provide appropriate treatments
- Perform venipuncture and phlebotomize as needed for laboratory testing
- Provide case management services to patients with complex medical needs
- Stay up-to-date with workers' compensation laws and regulations to effectively manage work-related injuries and illnesses
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic health records
- Utilize utilization management techniques to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources
- Conduct utilization reviews to evaluate the necessity and efficiency of medical services
- Collaborate with behavioral health specialists to address the mental health needs of patients
- Apply knowledge of anatomy to perform physical assessments and interpret diagnostic results
- Provide healthcare services to individuals with developmental disabilities

Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in TN
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatrics)
- Proven experience in primary care or a related healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation standards and practices
- Familiarity with utilization management principles and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
