Value Windows & Doors, Inc., a leading Windows & Doors manufacturer in the Southern California area is currently hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Moreno Valley, CA.

Summary Description: The Warehouse Supervisor supervises inventory control operations and teams according to established polices. Follows standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. The Warehouse Supervisor assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, as well as in other duties and special projects as the need arises.


Essential Responsibilities:

Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities.
Ensure that warehouse team members are carrying out tasks in accordance with safety protocols.
Provide guidance and lead the warehouse team to complete daily tasks in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
Evaluate staff performance, including but not limited to attendance, job and work quality, efficiency, safety awareness, attitude, and others.


Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods, raw materials, and supplies.
Manage item receipts both physically and systematically daily and ensure that packing lists match item receipts.
Manage item storage (put-away) both physically and systematically daily and ensure that physical goods are stored in the designated area listed in the ERP system.
Manage "processed" goods' activity (in and out) records and ensure goods* location and flow are properly tracked. For example, the color changed materials leaving and coming back to the same facility.


Keep track of materials' inventory levels.
Inspect the facility in accordance with a list of inventory item specifications (re-order point & safety stock) and check to ensure if items are approaching or falling below required minimum limits that they are consolidated and reported to Inventory Control Manager on a timely matter for a purchase order to be placed.
Inspect the facility in accordance with a list of inventory item specifications (max stock) and check for items approaching or going above required maximum limits that they are consolidated and reported to Inventory Control Manager on a weekly basis to strategize how to increase inventory usage and turn to avoid E&O.


Check orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
Supervise physical orders, bills, and packing lists and compare them with actual receipts. Ensure that a 3-way check is always done.


Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation.
Organize all required documents and provide them to different parties when necessary. Ensure that documentation meets internal and external audit standards.
For all internal company transactions, obtain and upload required signed documents from involved parties.


Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Enforce company health and safety protocol when the team is active in the work environment.
Uphold safety in the highest regard from team members' safety practices to workplace safety upkeep.


Perform daily inspections of the warehouse environment.
Supervise and ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of the work environment.
Instruct the team to dispose of any packaging residuals property.
Make sure goods, raw materials, and supplies are all organized properly and in accordance with FIFO practice and procedure.


Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
Interact with stakeholders regarding inventory status and any inventory-related type of inquiries or concerns.


Manage on-site/prospective projects, including but not limited to the materials aspect of the ERP systems.
Participate in any necessary inventory-related projects in support of the Inventory Control Manager such as inventory audit, inventory transaction process improvement, etc.


Contribute to department SOP write-ups & documentation of inventory control procedures.
Support Inventory Control Manager in constructing department SOP write-ups related to inventory control activities.


Experience Requirements:
4+ years of inventory management experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment a plus.
2+ years of inventory management experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Walk the talk, manage by accountability.
Strong influencing skills and the ability to drive change.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to travel to visit corporate offices, warehouses, vendors, and suppliers, including overnight travel if needed.


Training & Education:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field preferred. Associate degree required.
APICS supply chain certification a plus.
Proficient in ERP and MS Suite software required.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and OSHA certification are a plus.
Strong communication skills required both written and verbal.
Spanish or Chinese language capability is a plus.
