We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to work closely with the Purchasing Manager performing various purchasing duties

•Follow up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates
•Maintain records and follow up files of purchases, shipments, and related matters
•Submit request for quotes and enter data in database
•Data Entry for purchasing manager
•Order materials as specified per requirements
•Request order confirmations
•Performs related job duties as required
•Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
•Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.

Associate Degree + Relevant Experience preferred
Monday - Friday
